Yonghong An is a Professor of Economics at Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and has served as a consulting economist for more than 15 years.
Dr. An’s academic research focuses on the development and application of advanced econometric methods to industrial organization, antitrust, and labor economics. He has published in leading journals in econometrics and industrial organization, including the RAND Journal of Economics, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization. His current research develops econometric methods to model firm behavior, both with and without strategic interaction, and to detect algorithmic collusion.
His consulting work includes analyzing firm strategic behavior, assessing damages, and evaluating the impact of proposed mergers. He has extensive experience across a wide range of industries, including information technology, automotive, telecommunications, healthcare, chemicals, manufacturing, transportation, and food.
